Research Group

Spinal Cord Injury

The main aim of the SCI Research Group is to strengthen and carry out high-quality research in the field of SCI, and thereby contribute to evidence-based medical treatment for this group.

Background

Sunnaas has one of three specialized spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation units in Norway, and committed to life-long follow-up of persons with SCI. The SCI Research Group at Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital was established in May 2016. Establishing thematic research groups was a result of an ongoing process at that time to make the research at the hospital more in accordance with the hospital's strategic plans.

Main topics/focus areas

The SCI Research Group are primarily conducting interdisciplinary clinically-oriented research within the group's thematic area, anchored in the hospital's strategic plans.
